 The Salvation Army’s Santa Shuffle is a national fundraising event that brings communities together to make a real impact during the Christmas season and year-round.

Building on the incredible success of 2025, the Santa Shuffle returns in 2026 to continue its tradition of uniting Canadians in support of The Salvation Army’s vital community programs and services. What began as small grassroots run in Edmonton, Alberta, has grown into a coast-to-coast movement that has raised millions of dollars over 35+ years, helping provide food, shelter, and essential services to individuals and families in need across the country.

Today, the Santa Shuffle is more than a 5K Fun Run or 1K Elf Walk; it’s a chance to take action, spread joy, and give hope. Participants across Canada lace up in their most festive gear, gather with family and friends, and fundraise to make a real difference in their communities.

This year, every participant can go beyond the finish line by becoming a Holiday Hope Champion, helping ensure that The Salvation Army’s compassion and care reach those who need it most.
